Well, only the colonies of Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island were considered part of the New England colonies. The other 9 were labeled as Southern, Chesapeake, or Middle colonies. New England is just the name given to the region east of NY's Hudson River; it wasn't the name England used to refer to the 13 colonies as a whole. :)

Ah, sorry XD I had forgotten about that. What I meant is that the original thirteen colonies were New England, and that’s all America was when he became his own country.

Ancient Kingdom OC

Well, I plan to make an OC based from the ancient kingdom from India or Indonesia. Those 2 country during ancient times have a lot of kingdoms and I decide to make one from all the kingdoms. I’ve design the appearance and other things. After reading the history I’m thinking it’ll be daughter of Ancient India and siblings of India. The thing I doubt, is it ok to make oc like this (based on kingdom) and make the relations like that?

Well, I don’t see a problem with that. After all, there is the historic relation there. It’s not like you just decided “yeah, they’ll be related” like most other OC creators. I sya go for it! I’d love to see it when you’re done!

Slovakia OC help ;w;

I’m trying to make a Slovakia OC. I’ve got the outfit down, though, along with hair, eye color, name, etc. But, what I don’t have, is good history to build her personality upon.  So, really, that’s all I need. ;w; Some good history. The main question(s) being 1. Have any good research websites? and/or 2. Any good history? In like a summary or something.

Unfortunately, I don’t know much about Slovakia, probably due to my school’s shitty teachers.

However, I do know some sites that could help.

This website provides some info on a few topics concerning Slovak history. This website is the same, but it has more information if I remember correctly. And here’s one more just to be sure.

Now concerning culture, I recommend this website the most. It’s probably the best website to go to if you want to make sure you have the culture on your OC correct in my mind.

And about foreign relations, I don’t really have a specific website that I recommend. However, Wikipedia is actually a reliable source for small bits, but not the entire thing.

That’s all the sources I can think of for the moment, but you could always go to a local library if you need more information! Library books tend to be more accurate than internet articles after all ^^”

I want to make an OC of a country called Nauru, but I'm afraid that it would be too obscure to make an OC out of. I do know that he/she would have a sort of business relationship with Taiwan (Taiwan helped Nauru financially with an airport back in 2006), but otherwise I'm afraid to make him/her. Unfortunately, I don’t know much about Nauru. On the other hand, this is actually a great chance. You just need to do enough research. If you know enough about the nation and it’s past, you should be able to make the OC well enough. And the best part is, there’s probably no one else who thought of making a Nauru OC. This way, you can set an example for others. it’s always good to have an OC that isn’t overly-done. I say you should make them!
